Belfast Operatic have been nominated for FIVE awards in the Gilbert list of the 2010 award scheme, including Best Overall Show (Beauty & The Beast), Best Director (Wilfie Pyper), Best Chorus, Best Technical (Lighting, Set & Sound) and Best Visual (Costumes, Props, Make-up & Hair).  A huge pat in the back to Wilfie, Colin Scott, Declan Moore and all who contributed to these.

Congratulations also to Ruth McRoberts and Thompie Steele, who have been nominated for the Mary Kelly (unsung hero award), and to David Thompson for his nomination for best male singer as John Truitt with Fortwilliam Musical Society.

We would also like to congratulate our friends in New Lyric Operatic Company,  St Agnes Choral Society, Fusion Theatre, Newcastle Glee Musical Society and Portrush Music Society for their various nominations.

Awards will be announced on 19th June.
